Project Progress- Week 04

We are a week behind in updating the blog, but in our defense interesting things have been happening. We have been issued our masonry and roofing permit. During week four of our renovation we demoed the rear wood porch, opened up the rear masonry wall, and continued demo of the basement. Holy (Bird) Shit!

In our first post we mentioned this renovation wasn’t for the faint of stomach. That proved to be very true the day we began to demolish the second floor ceiling. After a fifteen year residency by that wretched family of pigeons, we are left with fifteen years of pigeon mess. The ceiling came down and so did the feathers, the bones, and of course the pigeon poop!

We knew to expect the unexpected, but this surpasses even our wildest (un)expectations.
